Role: Accounts Payable Manager
Location: Sheffield
Type: 15-month Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover)
As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee and manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals to maintain high standards of financial accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure smooth operations and adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee the processing of invoices, expense claims, and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Develop and implement processes and controls to enhance the Accounts Payable function's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve cross-functional communication.
- Monitor and analyse Accounts Payable performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable management role – any experience within a high volume SSC would be desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite – Strong Excel (vlookups / pivot tables)
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
