SalaryThere is an immediate opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our client, an international manufacturing business based in Rotherham. The role is initially a 6 month interim appointment, there is a very strong chance the role will become a permanent one.
This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to join a well-established team, and to develop their current skills while supporting the finance manager across a wide range of duties. Key responsibilities will include:
Monthly Stock control / Costings
Prepayments & Accruals
Fixed Assets
HR / Payroll
Posting journals, cash book & petty cash including reconciliations
Development of reporting / spreadsheets
Assist in preparation of management Accounts.
Assist in preparation of Annual Accounts
Support with ad hoc reporting to group.
VAT returns (inc recs)
Other ad hoc duties as required.
This role will be ideally suited to an individual who demonstrates a flexible and proactive approach to their work and who likes to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will also demonstrate good excel skills including v lookups, sum if and pivot tables along with excellent communication skills.
