Interim Cherish Project Manager

We're hiring an Interim Cherish Project Manager to oversee delivery of our National Lottery Heritage Funded Cherish project. Reporting to the Interim Director of Church Engagement, the post holder will work full-time on a one-year fixed-term contract overseeing the project in Scotland, Wales/Cymru and North West England. You will have the option of working at home, but some travel will be required. This post is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Location: Optional home or office based with travel throughout the country and to the National Churches Trust offices in Westminster, London.

Contract: Fixed-term, One-year, Maternity Cover.

The Role

As part of the Church Engagement team, this role will be responsible for overseeing delivery of the Cherish project and will contribute to other areas of work as required. It will involve line managing three officers (one for each of the countries/regions) and ensuring the project runs effectively and efficiently, learning is shared, and reports and payment requests are submitted on time. You will support assessment, training, and sector events as necessary and contribute to the overall aims of supporting churches with building and project enquiries, helping them on their development journey, raising the profile of maintenance, supporting church tourism and open church initiatives, writing content for the website and advocating the wider work of the Charity.
