Our client is recruiting for a Financial Accountant for an interim contract. Responsible for delivering monthly financial accounts, annual statutory accounts, and the management of external audit activities for the Operating Unit. Ensuring accurate and financial information to the Site Leadership team.
Duties include:
- Monthly Financial Close Process:
- Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Produce month-end management accounts
- Financial Ledgers and Shared Service Team:
- Maintain the financial ledgers of the operating unit
- Coordinate and support the Shared Service Team for month-end and reporting activities
- Accounts Receivable and Cash Forecasting:
- Support accounts receivable activities
- Provide weekly cash forecasting for the UK group
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead annual Budget and STRAP activities
- Conduct monthly forecasts with site leadership
- Compile the Monthly Reporting Pack to analyse and review variances against budget/forecast
- Communicate overhead spend vs budget to relevant stakeholders
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Meet internal and external reporting requirements within deadlines (statutory accounts, VAT returns, National Statistics, etc.)
- Manage completion of Annual Taxation reports for the Operating Unit
- Act as the main point of contact for audits and coordinate audit information requirements
- Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and relevant statutory accounting standards (UK & US GAAP)
- Manage Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements for the Operating Unit
- Chart of Accounts and Cost Centre Structure:
- Manage the chart of accounts and the cost centre structure of the business
To be successful you are likely to be a part qualified or qualified by experience accountant. Hybrid working is offered with 3 days from the office and two days working from home.
