Your new role
A key Financial / Management Accountant role, reporting to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for:
The Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and value added reporting, including detailed variance analysis of monthly results to Forecast, Budget and Prior year with full Commentary on variances, giving complete insight into what is driving the variances. The calculation and journal posting of accruals, prepayments and allocations. Cash flow preparation and forecasting. The review and posting of the monthly payroll journals and analyses against budget. The completion of the quarterly VAT return. Responsibility for the whole process, accuracy and completion of balance sheet reconciliation, identifying risks and opportunities where possible. Supervision of an Assistant Accountant. Assisting in preparation of the statutory accounts and support on the annual external audit. Project work as required. The general promotion of cost awareness and a cost control culture, ensuring sign-off and authorisation procedures are strictly adhered to.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant, with experience of a similar Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role in a fast moving business. You will be highly IT literate with previous experience of ERP systems and strong Excel skills. You will be available to start quickly and happy to commit to an assignment of at least three months.
