SalaryThis high growth organisation in the North West are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant/ Assistant Financial Accountant to join the business on a 6 month initial interim contract, due to a restructure within the team.
Reporting to an Impressive, Big 4 trained Finance Director, your core duties will include;
- Support Accounting Manager with multiple entity month end/quarter end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, etc (including but not limited to cash, prepaids, G&A accruals, payroll) while ensuring policies and procedures are followed to comply with SOX requirements
- Support Accounting Manager with rolling R&D accruals on a monthly basis for reporting as well as monthly financials
- Actively maintain and review designated General Ledger accounts and activity, working to support streamlining & uniformity across all companies, including process improvements (i.e. Gappify, NetSuite reports, etc.)
- Support annual audit and quarterly reviews by providing supporting schedules or documentations requested by the auditors.
- Any other ad-hoc work needed
Key Requirements;
- Education, Experience and Skills necessary for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- Qualified or working towards accounting qualification preferable (ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience working with various systems including, but not limited to NetSuite & Oracle
- Knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in the pharma/biotech industry preferred.
- North West based - able to commute the equivalent of 1 week a month to Liverpool
