Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting an interim Financial Controller on a minimum of a 6 month fixed term contract for a £30m turnover business in Crawley, (2-3 days remote working per week offered). Reporting to the MD and managing a small team of 3 transactional level finance staff you will manage all aspects of accounts for the business including:
- Manages the month-end close process including posting journals and submitting reporting packs to the group for consolidation purposes.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of the monthly payroll
- Responsible for VAT returns, intrastats and other statutory submissions.
- The management of the Accounts team.
- Ensure import and exports declarations are accurate and timely.
- Responsible for Fixed Asset maintenance and reporting.
- Responsible for Inventory maintenance and reporting.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including detailed monthly review of overheads.
- Takes the lead in both internal and external audits, ensuring audits and local stat filling are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Working on other areas of the management accounts process as required.
- Working proactively with the Corporate Finance Teams on streamlining processes
- Accountable for the financial account’s preparation for their regions.
- Supporting the Budget and forecasting for their regions.
- Supporting the business in financial analysis and variance analysis.
