Main Duties / Accountability
* Proactive member of the senior management team providing timely and accurate management information to the board and divisional finance team
* To provide early warning / notification of any companywide issues that may occur
* Developing and ensuring KPIs are in place to monitor the essential operational areas of the business
* Control the regional finance department of a day to day basis
* Attend the monthly board meetings
* Share best practice across the region and provide regional financial analysis
* Develop procedures and reporting
* Understand and improve the working capital cycle, enhancing cash balance and profile
* Provide monthly working capital and cash reportage
* Control red flag reportage and target improvements
* Provide the key point contact for the regional cashiers department
* Develop and monitor regional cash action plans and monthly cash forecasts
* Review staff structures and prepare overhead budgets and forecasts
* Control overheads to budget
* Provide detailed variance analysis
* Prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts and support RMD in preparation of the annual business plan, monthly profit forecast, review billings and order book
* Have responsibility for the regional e-vision data
* Provide the key point of contact for the external auditors
* In conjunction with Finance Director, review and approve monthly accounts/reports submitted by Managing QS / Directors
* Liaise with the Operational Management teams over contractual issues and take action as required
* Time management; to ensure deadlines are met as per monthly reporting timetable.
* Work closely alongside commercial teams to ensure full understanding of reporting on specific contracts from P&L and cash flow perspective
* Assist in annual budget preparation
* Monitor the service and support contracts within the business to ensure both correct billing and forecast charges for the financial year
Commercial and Senior Management support
* Support RMD in the monthly business reviews
* Attend key sit performance review and contribution meetings; review CVRs with commercial
* Attend bi-monthly commercial meetings and challenge the teams as appropriate
* Ability to deputise for the Finance Director in their absence
* Support commercial in monthly contract reviews and submit to the division within agreed deadlines
