My client is a historic London based charity that prides itself on supporting Londoners experiencing disadvantage and marginalisation. Funding a wide variety of initiatives ranging from local green projects to working with vulnerable children and marginalised voices, their mission is to grow inclusive and thriving local communities.
At present they are looking to recruit an interim Project Financial Controller to provide maternity cover for a unique and pivotal role in their high functioning finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide project oversight on the preparation of the annual report and financial statements for the organisation and other charitable entities within the group.
- Responsible for the provision of specialist charity finance advice on the assessment of charitable funding.
- Develop and maintain financial modelling in relation to reserves management to ensure ongoing strategic planning.
- Manage a team of 2, contributing to a culture within the finance function which is motivational, fosters excellence and trust amongst colleagues.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record in technical charity accounting (inhouse or from audit). Motivated by the variety and project element of the role, you will be comfortable with working outside of the traditional finance cycle.
