SalaryOur partner is a small, impactful charity with programmes in the UK and overseas. They are seeking an Head of Finance for a fixed-term cover.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of the finance function, including management of junior finance staff, compliance and administration.
- Oversight of the monthly management accounting and reporting processes, quarterly reporting, and grants compliance and reporting.
- Lead on grant audits, and the annual organisational audit.
- Advising senior leadership on financial matters, and supporting in strategic decision making within the organisation.
Requirements
- Qualified or QBE accountant with all-round experience in leading the finance function of an international charity; able to be hands on, whilst offering strategic advisory support to senior leadership.
- Strong technical background in accounting, financial management, forecasting and grants compliance and reporting. Knowledge of the funding requirements of institutional donors is highly desirable.
- Flexible, understanding the demands of a small organisation, and able to manage a varied workload effectively.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Experience of staff management.
This is a fixed term contract of 5-6 months; part-time role with the individual expected to be in the office at least 1 day/week in the office.
