Job Opportunity: Interim Management Accountant
Contract Length: 3 months (Likely to be extended Temp to perm option)
Location: Bicester (5 days on site)
Rate: Negotiable
Responsibilities:
- Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and intercompany reconciliations. Review profit and loss (P&L) against budget within agreed timeframes.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP): Lead AR and AP functions, ensuring accurate processing of daily receipts, finance system postings, and reconciliations. Timely review and payment of purchase invoices for weekly payment runs.
- Workflow Oversight: Manage workflows by delegating tasks and reviewing completed work across finance and associated inboxes.
- VAT and CCL Returns: Prepare quarterly VAT and Climate Change Levy (CCL) returns, ensuring timely payments.
- Payroll Preparation: Handle payroll responsibilities.
- Cashflow and Budget: Contribute to cashflow forecasting and budget setting.
- Year-End Accounts: Fully engage in year-end accounts preparation, including necessary records and files for annual financial audit.
- Team Development: Train and develop junior team members.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Assist other departments by providing financial data and insights.
Qualifications:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA Part Qualified or Finalist
- Proven Management Accounts/Reporting Experience
- Supportive Team Player: Experience working with and supporting junior team members.
- Desirable: Familiarity with direct debit and credit card payment processing.
