Purpose of the Role:
The People Advisor will report to the Head of People Business Partnering to support the day to day delivery of People and Culture Strategy through provision of technical and operational expertise .
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of key projects (opening of the City Campus, introduction of PowerBI, delivery of the cultural action plan, roll out of values and behaviours activities and the implementation of more proactive performance management).
* Assist the People Business Partners to implement local change programmes.
* Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including trade union representatives, to be able to coach and challenge them effectively.
* Work with the Business Partners to support leaders to understand the talent landscape (high performers, flight risks, talent gaps)
* Resolve complex employee relations cases by identifying and implementing solutions to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
* Deliver cyclical people activities (e.g., pay review, employee engagement survey, performance management cycles and talent programmes) ensuring all activities are effectively communicated, delivered fairly, consistently and in a timely manner.
* Support the work of the People Services team to provide accurate and timely advice at all times and ensures all cases are resolved within the agreed timescales.
* Monitor, measure, report on people metrics, making recommendations to maximise opportunities for improvement and to help inform equitable decision making and problem solving.
* Ensure the governance and performance management of the People and Culture team by ensuring all people activity is implemented in line with agreed policies and procedures.
