Elevation are delighted to be working exclusively with a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing business based in Barnsley, who are seeking a highly skilled Interim Production Planning Manager to manage the Planning team and lead on improvement projects across the function.
This is an interesting turnaround and improvement project that has a strong chance of becoming permanent.
It is paying the equivalent of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (on a PAYE day rate).
As the Interim Production Planning Manager, you will:
- Work directly with customers to understand their concerns, gather feedback, and identify problems in current processes. Provide workable solutions and ensure customer satisfaction
- Utilise data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve Production Planning processes.
- Be responsible for managing a team of three Planners and oversee the Production Planning process for a high pace/high volume site
- Optimise production schedules, implement improvements to existing processes where needed
- Perform full analysis of current processes and issues
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including sales, purchasing, IT and operations
- Collaborate with the IT and operations teams to support the successful implementation of Dynamics 365 (D365) for Production Planning. Provide insights, feedback, and support to ensure a seamless transition.
We want to hear from you if you have the following attributes:
- Experience of managing a Production Planning team and process in HIGH VOLUME/HIGH PACE environments
- Must have experience of planning for both standardised and bespoke products
- Production Planning experience in the FMCG or Manufacturing sector is essential
- Team management and leadership experience essential
- Proven process improvement experience essential
- Knowledge of D365 highly advantageous, but not essential. However, high interest and capability in data analysis and improvement is essential
- Ability to start by end of February 2024 essential
