We are pleased to be working with them to find a key individual to fulfil the role of an Interim Repairs & Engineering Manager working 40 hours per week with optional overtime.
This would be leading a commercial engineering workshop facility that provides a 24/7 service to the operational services department. Service delivery should be industry leading whilst ensuring repair costs remain cheaper than external competitors. Management of the operational critical space store to ensure that equipment deemed process critical is available in stock 24/7.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a first-class safety approach to work.
- Provide quantifiable savings to OPEX and CAPEX.
- Deputise for the optimisation team to cover holiday/sickness.
- Plan and organise day-to-day work to meet the workload.
- Liaise with the team and customers.
- Understand assets and our design standards to provide the best possible service to the customer.
- Manage our cyclic maintenance investment programs for example screen refurbishments.
- Grow the business from its current turnover of £3.6m to £5m.
- Cover sites across the whole region.
- Analyse data to review system performance, leading to robust engineering solutions for each and every repair.
- Propose robust engineering solutions supported by quantifiable data.
- Monthly reporting to customers on job progress and cost.
- Site visits to review equipment issues and propose mechanical intervention.
- Feed back data to the asset database for quality improvements of corporate data.
- Build and increase in-house machining capability.

- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Level 3 NVQ or an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance.
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (optional but preferred).
