Robertson Bell are working with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Senior Finance Manager. The post will specifically work within the Education Finance team working on the safety valve programme. The position is due to be for a minimum of six months with the potential to be extended.
The main responsibilities of the Interim Finance Manager are:
- Pulling together quarterly reports for DfE.
- Directly line manage two members of staff, with a wider team beneath them.
- Working with service leads to help reduce costs in the high needs area.
The position is mostly remote with occasional office travel. The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience of working within Local Authorities.
- Have strong experience of Education experience within the local authority sector, preferably knowledge of the Safety Valve.
- Be immediately available or on a short notice period.
