Weightmans' Motor team is a market leader in this field offering a full service with dedicated teams dealing with fast track, Intermediate & Multi track, fraud, credit hire, recoveries, indemnity issues and representation at inquests and criminal prosecutions.
We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor and will also consider candidates up to Associate level to manage a caseload of intermediate and Multi track cases.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage caseload effectively and efficiently
- Initially review liability and quantum Claimant Solicitor conduct before devising a strategy for continued handling;
- Handle cases to conclusion including instructing investigators, posing Part 35 questions, instructing Counsel and making Part 36 offers;
- Complete client and firm MI procedures
- Comply with client SLAs, e-manual and local claims handling requirements
- Achieve set chargeable hours and financial targets
- Comply with Data Protection Procedures
About You
You will have previous experience as a Multi track fee earner and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have:
- Experience of handling a case load of litigated motor files, preferably as a Defendant
- Technical indemnity experience
- Knowledge of CPR
- Ability to work to meet deadlines and hit targets
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
