We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Arriva team as an Internal Communications Coordinator based out of our York office. You will ensure effective communication across a diverse team and departments to support our newly formed Rail Services Division working closely with stakeholders to develop and execute communication plans and creating engaging content.
- Collaborate with local managers from each part of Rail Services to develop a tailored internal communication plan that align with their respective goals, values, local business and cultures.
- Create compelling content and ensure consistency in messaging and branding while adapting communication approach to accommodate the unique needs and priorities of each local business.
- Coordinate the scheduling and distribution of communication materials, calendar ensuring timely delivery and maximum reach among employees.
- Develop creative and innovative approaches to engage employees and promote participation in company initiatives and events.
- Support managers in how to communicate/brief staff in terms of message, tone and channel to ensure effective cascade of information and consistency in all Internal Communications.
- Work with feedback from employees through surveys, focus groups, and other channels to gauge the effectiveness of communication efforts and continuously identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse data and metrics to track engagement levels, communication channel effectiveness, and employee sentiment across the three businesses
- Establishing 2 way communication channels that convey vision and values. Driving engagement with hard to reach colleagues.

Our Requirements – Internal Communications Coordinator
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Internal Communications, corporate communications, or related roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and communication channels.
- The ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, email marketing software, content management systems, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of internal communication best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in the field.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Stakeholder management skills, building relationships and understanding the business.
- Ability to analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication strategies.
