How you will contribute
In this role, you will develop and implement an Internal Communications and engagement strategy for Northern Europe (comprising 6 markets) with a focus on supporting its implementation in the UK & Ireland as key markets. You will also have accountability for the successful running and transformation (as part of a current project) of the UK Archives (including a team of 3 Archivists), which is located in Bourneville. This is an exciting time to join during our Cadbury 200 year!
You will be a strong business adviser who supports the local management teams on wide ranging Internal Communications needs including; Leadership positioning, communication, and set pieces (i.e. Town Halls), channel strategy and data insights, delivering transformation projects and developing programmes to support positive engagement. You will effectively co-ordinate and partner with other functions to deliver the strategy and ensure activities are delivered within budget.

- Ability to develop, deliver and drive effective communication and engagement strategies preferably in a large, matrix multinational organization (within budget)
- Core leadership capabilities, comfortable with taking lone or controversial positions on key issues within the company in order to drive effective decision making.
- Team leadership and ability to work with people at all skill and experience levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively and confidently communicate with senior stakeholders and leaders across the business across a range of issues and geographies.
- Excellent writing and communications skills
- Results orientation and a hands-on mentality. A strategic thinker with the ability to balance both the strategic and the tactical.

What will you do?
You will be responsible for building and delivering Mondelez International’s Internal Communications and Engagement strategy for Northern Europe.
Leadership Communications, Cultural and Organisational Change
- Develop, deliver and drive an employee communications strategy to support the business’ cultural development and enable our people to deliver its commercial agenda.
- Support our leaders in delivering open, transparent and authentic communications in service of our growth and people agendas.
- Provide strong Internal Communications counsel and guidance underpinned by holistic view of the business with a ‘people first’ lens.
- Lead, support and motivate your direct reports and wider CGA team.
Internal Communications & Engagement
- Ensure we are developing best practice Internal Communications for your respective markets, linking up with our wider European and Global agenda/teams. Contribute to our strategic Internal Communications agenda across Europe
- Manage a team to deliver impactful Internal Communications leveraging relevant channels in the most effective way, against a clear channel strategy.
- Use data analytics to inform a continuous improvement ethos to evolve and maximise the impact of Internal comms.
- Support the business’ growth agenda by leveraging Engagement & Purpose Drivers; supporting recognition, celebration & pride, ensuring alignment and consistency with People Team (HR) Function.
- Drive communications simplicity and agility.
Community Affairs
- Make community a key part of our business model by driving delivery of the programmes through our functions.
- Support the growth of community programmes and partnerships (including opportunities for colleague volunteering) in Nordic markets to support local engagement and cultural growth.
- Drive the delivery of our overall volunteering efforts and achieve the annual targets.
- Manage the Community Affairs manager to deliver the Community Affairs agenda.
Archives
- Continue to embed the newly joined Archives into the CGA Team.
- Build opportunities for connection, collaboration and visibility and value in the business, especially during the Cadbury 200 anniversary year.
- Support and steer the evolution of Archives function to be fit for the future which includes establishing new ways of working with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months and can be based in either our Bournville (Birmingham) or Uxbridge offices.
The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
