As an Internal Communications Business Partner, you will be the strategic and tactical partner, where you will be developing and delivering Internal Communications strategies that support business goals. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the business to lead, develop, implement, and support a variety of Internal Communications projects, ensuring these engage and enable colleagues. Your work will help us to make sure every colleague understands how they can put customers at the heart, no matter what their role is. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, capable of building relationships with all levels of colleagues.
Main Duties
- Work with the finance and the digital delivery team to identify key topics and messages, assess business needs and develop communication solutions to meet those needs.
- Lead content planning and development across the year, contributing to the overall shared colleague communications forward view.
- Coach and manage colleague\'s communications to create a high performing team, including contributing to function wide initiatives and processes.
- Work closely with colleagues in external communications and marketing to support external communication, acting as the account manager for delivery of items.
- Get stuck into delivery of communications, across the full communications mix based on audience insights (including intranet, video, social, other digital, print and offline methods)
- Report and analyse results of the finance and the digital delivery team communications to advise senior leaders on colleague sentiment and effective plan insight based on future communication.
- Lead on companywide colleague communications projects as required, including major events, campaigns.
- Work as part of a network of Business Partners in the marketing and communications function, sharing information with colleagues and consulting with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the below: -
- Track record of shaping and driving colleague communications in similar service and operations business
- Developed strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels, including C suite and SLT.
- Led colleague communications activities through periods of change.
- The ability to balance delivery across multiple projects and priorities, aligning activities to corporate business goals.
- Internal communications best practices
- Good technical knowledge to deliver engaging content, including intranet, print, video, digital, social.
- Knowledge of Internal Communications and how to engage a diverse workforce using online and offline methods.
- Wider awareness of the full marketing and communications mix and employee communications' role in driving strategy
- The ability to define, develop and deliver communication strategies which deliver impact.
- Effective interpersonal, management and communications skills.
- Able to communicate challenges and influence a variety of stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent presentation and strong writing skills, able to present clear and concise communications to a range of audiences at all levels.
- The ability to investigate, analyse and contextualise complex issues, identify key points to be addressed and develop practical and simple communications solutions.
- You will ideally have experience of both the public and private sector within internal Communications.
