Internal Sales Engineer (Pumps)

Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with a manufacturing client who specialise in the Pump industry. They are now looking to recruit an Internal Sales Engineer (Pumps) to join their team on a full-time permanent, based at their offices in Derby
Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm) - 37.5 hour per week
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 + monthly bonus (based on team of 4 hitting targets together - no individual targets)
Monthly bonus is eligible after a successful probation period has been passed.
What will I be doing in the Internal Sales Engineer (Pumps) role?
* Taking incoming calls from clients/potential clients
* Making Outbound calls to gain business and chase quotes.
* Dealing with email enquiries
* Review client requirements ensuring you have all the technical data to prepare a quotation.
* Making outbound calls to gain information regarding quotes.
* Making pump recommendations based on specifications given.
* Submitting proposals to supply pumps and associated equipment.
* Selling pump solutions to a wide variety of clients
* Submitting proposals for pump refurbishments and repairs
* Providing technical information for quotations
* Dealing with client queries and questions
* Order entry
* Creating Purchase orders
* Use Microsoft packages.
* Use of a CRM system
* Carrying out basic pump repairs
* Other duties as required.
What will I bring to the Internal Sales Engineer (Pumps) role?
* Previous experience within the pump industry is essential.
* Previous Sales/Technical experience ideally within the pump industry or wastewater industry
* Good telephone manner
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Good negotiation skills
* Strong IT skills
* Flexible, hardworking, and organised
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Where is the Internal Sales Engineer role based?
The role is based in Derby, therefore if you live in Derby or the surrounding areas, and are flexible with travel, then this is only a short distance. The client is also a short walk from the local bus stops. Free on-site parking available.
