Cox Automotive International is the multi-national division of Cox Automotive focused on creating integrated wholesale, retail and mobility solutions to meet customers needs in an evolving new and used vehicle ecosystem. Cox Automotive International currently operates businesses in UK, Australia, New Zeeland, Brazil, many European countries (including Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, and Portugal), and China. Cox Automotive International operates business units focused on; physical and online wholesale vehicle exchanges for dealers, fleet, leasing companies and manufacturers, logistics to transport vehicles between buyers and sellers, onsite and offsite physical services to assess and recondition vehicles, inventory management platforms and solutions clients, retail solutions providing software and services to support new and used vehicle marketplaces, and financing for dealer floor plans.
THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity which offers wide scope and high levels of exposure to commercial/ operational elements of the business. In addition, this role will help influence positive change within the organisation in relation to process / reporting improvements, revenue opportunities and cost management/ efficiency activities.
Some key areas of focus within this role are:
Reporting and Budgeting
You will be an integral part of the finance function for the International division controlling the consolidation of financial results and the production of management reports for the International Finance team, International CFO and Corporate stakeholders. In addition, you will play a key role in helping shape our future financial trajectory by supporting the budgeting process and key strategic initiatives.
Business Partnering
Strong relationships and collaboration with key stakeholders will be required with solid customer service being offered to help support the local markets and the other International Corporate teams.
Performance Analysis
You will take an active role in analysing and evaluating our performance, comparing to historic results, budgeted targets and similar businesses (both internally owned and third party businesses). You will also assess our performance and provide insight whilst considering external factors e.g. economic / market conditions, competitor activity etc. for the markets in which we operate.

You will be a strong finance individual with a proven track record of building relationships across an organisation and managing your own workload. You will have good knowledge of business finance and experience in developing and presenting management information reporting.
Expected skills and experience for the role:
- You will have experience in a commercial finance role supporting multi-business organisations including consolidation of reporting
- You will be comfortable discussing information to all levels of the business
- Will have the ability to convert data into real meaningful information to use in analysis that is easy to understand
- You will be able to adapt to an agile environment, able to manage multiple deliverables/processes and adjust quickly to changes in the environment
- Have a hands-on approach and a curiosity to know what is going on in all areas of the business.
- Strong communication skills and be able to convey detailed advice and information to stakeholders in a clear and articulate manner.
- Exceptionally strong Excel skills including financial modelling and presentational skills to relay complex information with easily digestible content & messaging
Note: The role’s key stakeholders are located across multiple time zones. The right candidate will be required to be flexible with their working hours to attend virtual meetings and communicate with these stakeholders (e.g. email) outside of standard hours (i.e. early morning, late evenings).
