School Intervention Worker (SEMH)
The school
Remedy is looking for a resilient and energetic Intervention Worker to support students in a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision in Kensington and Chelsea. The school is for students in KS3-KS4, many of whom have an EHCP. The school is a provision for a range of needs, including ASD, and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, ADHD. Class sizes are small with a teaching assistant to support each class. The school differentiates the curriculum to ensure all pupils can access it, for example, by grouping, 1:1 work, teaching style, content of the lesson. Located in Kensington and Chelsea the school is easily accessed by public transport with bus stops nearby. The school has onsite parking available. The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in youth work or have any other experience of mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
Experience, training and qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar setting / SEMH / PRU
- LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
- GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
- Team Teach qualified (or signed up to attend the with our agency)
- Due to the nature of this role, A full driving licence is required

- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
