This post is located within the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team, which sits in the Health Equity and Clinical Governance Directorate, in the Nursing & Allied Health Professionals Division.
The post requires significant organisational skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff. Although work will be guided, the postholder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own work to ensure smooth running of multiple projects whilst also being comfortable to operate within an evolving portfolio.
The role will include ensuring projects are planned, managed and delivered effectively, supporting the delivery of milestones. The postholder will develop and manage systems and processes to guarantee oversight, monitoring and delivery of programme targets.

Essential
- Educated to degree level/NVQ6 or equivalent experience
- Experience of maintaining good stakeholder relations and of working with others to achieve common goals
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools, basic project management tools and techniques, and strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience of work or study in the health and social care sector
- You have inner composure, recover quickly from setbacks, and learn from them
- Consider different individual needs, views, and ideas, championing inclusion and equality of opportunity for all effectively managing conflict, misconduct, and non-inclusive behaviour, raising with senior managers where appropriate
- Ability to work independently and flexibly across a diverse and busy team, to support new and emerging priorities
- Ability to use digital tools and understand where they can best be deployed
- An understandingof and commitmenttoequalityofopportunityandgood workingrelationships
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of public health issues or previous experience in a similar role
- An interest or familiarity in Infection Prevention Control, public health issues and a commitment to reducing health inequalities
- Project Management Qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner)
