IT Area Manager
Location: Bedfordshire / Northamptonshire
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
Salary: £38,296 - £42,503 per annum

The Role
The Trust have an exciting opportunity to join their thriving IT team as an Area Manager. This role will test your logic, common sense, and judgement as you manage projects to deliver classroom upgrades and enhancements. You will manage the IT budget for your schools ensuring you work with others to develop the IT refresh plan. You will meet with the Academy Principals and other senior leaders in your area to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will also meet yearly with the Academic Councils (Governing bodies) for your schools to discuss IT related matters.
This role will cover the following schools:
The Ferrers School, Sharnbrook Academy, Harrold Primary Academy
The Opportunity

- Provide training, support and guidance to staff as required in all applications & systems used by staff and students across the Trust to a basic minimum level.
- Support and manage project roll-out across the Trust and customers supported by the Trust.
- Collaborate with other management colleagues to assist with joint projects, share best practice and ensure compliance.
The Ideal Candidate
- Have a good educational background with evidence of CPD
- Working with servers, Active Directory, Group Policy objects, DNS, DHCP
- Working with and administering Office 365 and other cloud solutions
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively influence
- Be a team player, with a 'can do’ solution focused attitude
- A passion for IT and supporting users
- Ability to provide a written report to management teams regarding budgets and project updates
