Overview: We are seeking to appoint an IT Assistant to work collaboratively the schools IT Network Manager, to assist in the provision of high-quality 1st line IT support within the school, including deploying IT hardware and software.
The successful candidate will be enrolled on a fully funded Information Communication Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Scheme via the Hampshire County Council Apprenticeship 16-month programme.
Salary: £23,115 - £24,140 per annum.
Main Duties: will be to:
- Promote the highest possible standards in customer care, equal opportunities and health and safety practices for the benefit of learners and the wider community served by the school
- Respond to calls regarding hardware, software, and network support, resolve or escalate problems within specified timescales in line with current departmental service levels
- Provide ongoing technical support for users of the school systems, including basic training to end users and advice on new technology
- Support colleagues and pupils use of technology in class e.g. Photoshop, IWB's etc
- Keep accurate records of IT asset

Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
