Ashberry Recruitment are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join their client in Skipton.
The role sits within the Senior Management Team, leading the systems team, managing both the existing IT infrastructure and spearheading innovative technological advancements. Utilising technology, customer insights, data, and AI to catalyse significant growth, enhancements, and efficiencies within the business in line with strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Devise and execute a clear strategy to drive the implementation and development of systems which includes integration of innovative technologies and IT networks in line with the organisational strategy, changing and emerging regulations and business growth including setting key responsibilities.
- Keep abreast of the latest technological innovations and advancements
- Make representations to the SMT as appropriate for the adoption of the latest technological innovations and advancements.
- Manage and oversee a team of IT staff, ensuring a collaborative and efficient working environment. Maintain, update, and ensure the reliability of the current IT infrastructure, network, and hardware.
- Lead projects to implement solutions that enhance operational efficiencies and productivity. Budget management for IT expenditures, including investments in new technology and maintenance of existing systems.
- As part of the SMT you will have input into the strategic plan, including the vision and establishing the goals to support this. Overseeing and being accountable for the execution of, and subsequent performance against this within your area of the business.
- Ensure systems developments and processes are within requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO22301 standards and the regulations the company must adhere to.
Ideally the successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a technical / systems role and have strong technical knowledge across a broad range of IT systems, software and hardware.
Previous experience having developed or implemented a technology strategy is key.
Excellent customer service and communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals is essential. Previous experience of managing people is a must, and your leadership skills should be motivational and inspiring to a team. You will have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time effectively, to ensure deadlines are met. You need to be able to positively challenge the status-quo and have the ability to turn a challenge into a positive result.
Experience in a systems development role or in harnessing AI to good effect is also desirable.
