IT Manager with strong Sharepoint Experience required in Knaresborough. Up to £50K + great benefits and prospects. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Manager to oversee and lead IT projects and services at the Knaresborough headquarters (70-80 staff).
This company supplies thousands of environment improvement products to retail and professional markets gobally, they have 18 sites, employing over 800 staff.
Reporting to the Group IT Manager, the IT Manager will play a critical role in managing service providers, running IT projects and managing the SharePoint environment to ensure smooth operation. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in IT service management and project management and exhibit expertise in SharePoint implementation. Additionally, the candidate should have strong communication and computer networking skills, a track record of delivering cross-border IT projects and services and knowledge of core cyber-security principles. Experience with various ERP systems (e.g., SAPB1, SAPECC, D365, NetSuite) would be advantageous.
IT Manager Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure and Application Management:
- Helping to manage, maintain and secure the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of systems and applications.
- Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of servers, networks, and storage solutions.
- Proactively identify and address system and application vulnerabilities, ensuring data security and compliance.
- IT Project Management:
- Lead IT projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to plan, execute, and monitor IT projects and initiatives.
- SharePoint Implementation:
- Manage the implementation and administration of SharePoint, enabling efficient document management, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Vendor and Third-Party Management:
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple third-party support companies to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
- Monitor vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Service and Support Mentality:
- Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and technical support, ensuring the IT team delivers timely and effective solutions to end-users
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors, providing technical guidance and updates.
- Cross-Border IT Projects and Services:
- Manage IT projects and services across multiple geographic locations.
- Ensure the consistency and efficiency of IT solutions and services in a cross-border context.
IT Manager Qualifications and skills:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience in IT management, including application and infrastructure experience.
- Experience with maintaining infrastructure for ERP systems, particularly SAPB1, SAPECC, D365, and NetSuite.
- Strong experience with SharePoint implementation and administration.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with multiple third-party support companies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge.
- Experience and knowledge of core cyber-security principles.
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering cross-border IT projects and services is a plus.
- Aptitude for delivering process improvements.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are desirable.
