This is an exciting role for an experienced Technical Lead/IT Manager who understands the importance of efficiency when it comes to ensuring organisational needs are met.
This role will offer you the opportunity to use your technical ability and knowledge to support employees with any software, hardware, or general PC issues as well as offering technical assistance by troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests & remote access. You may also need to investigate network and/or WiFi issues reported by the organisations clients, and set up configure wired & wireless networks.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to queries via a ticket system, chat, email, or phone.
- Train other One Avenue staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
- Write, edit, and revise training documents for new and updated software and hardware.
- Resolve problems with networks and other computer systems.
- Diagnose system errors and other issues.
- Install or change software to fix issues.
- Remotely access hardware or software for One Avenue staff to make changes and fix issues.
- Add new Finance users to Synology NAS.
- Ensure IT stock is available for new starters and for replacement items (cables/adapters).
- Provide out-of-hours availability for the Executive Team support.
- Replace computers when the OS or hardware is at end of life or out of support.
- Support the Audio/Video systems in our buildings.
- Maintain the CCTV systems.
- Maintain the UPS’s.
- Monitor the communications room.
- Maintain access control systems.
Skills Required:
- Strong computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
- Familiarity with both PC and Apple Mac hardware & software
- Experience with network issues and analysis
- Good customer service skills
- The ability to communicate effectively to help people at all levels of the business resolve their issues
- Writing and editing skills for producing and updating manuals
- Education in computer repairs and troubleshooting
- Specific knowledge of other required computer systems for different work environments
