Overview:
The department and team
Working as part of the IT team you will undertake a wide range of duties in different areas of the IT function.
You will work with departments on our 3 sites to support with IT provision as well as liaising with external stakeholders and service providers. You will be able to work both responsively to daily events and also proactively manage your time to plan for long term deadlines.
The IT Operations Administrator role requires balance between customer service, careful spending and upholding company policy.
You'll need to be flexible and have a can-do approach to resolving problems, and equally knowing when to escalate to colleagues.

About the role:
As the IT Operations Administrator you will be in the office 5 days a week, 8.30am to 5pm. You will be responsible for various aspects of the operational running of the department:
Responsibilities:
Monitoring spending:
Tracking purchasing and spending, including raining POs and authorising invoices
Coordinate and tracking capital expenditure applications
Liaising with finance and procurement teams
Supplier & Logistics coordination:
Coordinating supplier on-site visits.
Coordinating IT equipment deliveries, storage and record keeping of allocation of resources.
Manage secure destruction and data certification of IT assets when no longer required.
Track and coordinate IT contract renewals
Coordinate the out of hours rotas
Plan and coordinate IT meetings.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Previous experience of:
Finance administration and/or budget tracking and coordination
Planning for short and long term deadlines
Working with finance / budgeting systems
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Proficient Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
Team Player - work as part of a team taking time to understand your role and how you can assist other members of the team.
Maintains high standards of adherence to company policy
Communicate clearly and fluently at all levels.
Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
Problem solving skills to resolve issues quickly and autonomously where possible.
Desirable:
Business or finance qualification.
Adaptable to change - adapts to changes quickly and positively, accepts new ideas and looks for the positives in new situations.
Learning and development - makes use of day-to-day experiences to further their understanding of the role and looks to gain relevant training where possible.

Analytical - capable of analysing all forms of data including numerical and verbal to reach rational judgements from the information received. Able to form workable solutions to tasks and problems.
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport for occasional travel to other sites when required.
