This is a hybrid role so you will be able to work from home 2-3 days per week. You will be expected to visit the office when required as well as visit client sites.
My client is a large defence and engineering consultancy who are delivering critical projects for the UK’s military and other government clients.
They are looking for an IT Service Manager to support vital service deliveries using an ITIL framework toolset.

Key responsibilities
- Represent clients during site visits to client sites.
- Capture existing Service Management processes and relay to the EA team.
- Attend stakeholder meetings, governance forums, design reviews and readiness assessments.
- Assist with the delivery of a new ITSM approach.
- Drive change using ITIL best practise, continuous improvement and automation.
- Work closely with the modelling and software teams to define and deliver into service improved approach using BMC Remedy Helix.
Skills & experience
- Demonstratable experience in a management position in the defence or telecommunication industries.
- Professional Qualification as ITIL Practitioner (ideally as Managing Professional).
- Demonstratable Experience in managing change in a ITIL v3 and/ or v4 based service management organisation.
- Hands on experience of BMC Remedy process Designer (or similar).
- Demonstratable experience of project delivery in waterfall and agile engineering environments.
- Ability to identify and solve sophisticated problems and gather the information to drive through to ultimate solutions.
