Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.
Purpose of Role:
Working as part of the IT team, the role provides support of our IT systems and infrastructure to all users within the firm. Involvement in various IT projects is required.
This role is critical to the successful running of the organisation’s IT systems.
Salary:
£16,000 - £18,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities – [within your group]
- First responder to IT support requests using the Service Desk software
- Provide high quality IT customer service to all users across the business – in particular via phone calls and face to face
- Responsible for managing own support calls, escalating where necessary, prioritising, providing feedback, and documenting the resolution into the Service Desk system
- Assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of the IT infrastructure
- Participate in IT meetings and regular one to one’s with the IT Director
- Involvement in IT projects
Key Responsibilities – General:
- Ensure the firm’s IT systems are available at all times
- Implement and ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures
- Ensure confidentiality is respected and maintained at all times

What we are looking for:
Experience – essential:
- Technical understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to demonstrate an interest in technology and aptitude for IT and learning
- Understanding of customer service behaviour and skills
- Confident and clear communicator
Experience – preferred [not-essential]:
- Previous experience in an IT Support role
- Knowledge of the working practices and behaviour within a professional services firm (in particular a law firm)
- Excellent written and oral communicator
Personal specifications:
- The ability to communicate at all levels to technical and non-technical people
- Can travel between the firm’s office locations
- Occasional requirement to work outside of normal working hours
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
