IT Support Engineer

Lorien are currently working with a Leeds based client who are going through a significant change to their digital landscape and investing in their IT provision. With a recent CTO appointment, focus on building a strong IT team is at the forefront of the businesses priority. Based on this, they are looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer to join their team and become the one-stop shop for all things tech! You'll provide exceptional support across the board, from workstations and printers to complex server issues and network configurations.
What You'll Do:
- Be the first line of defense, resolving user requests and incidents related to:
- Workstations (Windows 10/11 & Mac OSX)
- Printers
- Servers & Storage
- Networking (LAN, switches, access points)
- Software applications
- Provide exceptional desk-side support, ensuring a smooth experience even for senior executives.
- Implement and maintain IT Service Management principles for efficient issue resolution.
- Champion cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, password managers, anti-virus, and DLP policies.
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud-based solutions like Azure and Office 365.
- Support our communication systems, with experience in MS Teams phone systems or similar cloud solutions.
- Leverage your expertise in Microsoft Intune (or similar MDM) to manage multi-platform devices (Windows/Mac).
You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- 2-3 years of experience in IT support.
- A strong understanding of supporting Windows 10/11 and Mac OSX operating systems.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions, particularly Azure and Office 365.
- Familiarity with Local Area Networks (LANs), including switches and access points.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional desk-side support to diverse users, including senior executives.
- A working knowledge of IT Service Management (IT-SM) principles.
- Passion for cyber security best practices, including MFA, password managers, anti-virus, and DLP.
- Experience with MS Teams phone systems or other cloud phone solutions (a plus).
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or similar tools for multi-OS device management (a plus).
The role will be based from their Leeds city centre office 3 days a week (Tuesday being a mandatory day) and last two days of each month (can be included in the 3 days a week allowance).
Salary is paying up to £45,000 depending on experience with a generous benefits package.
Candidates must be based in the UK and have right to work as the organisation does not provide sponsorship.
