IT Technician - Cyber Security Administrator - Country Court, located in Werrington, Peterborough
Hours: 35 Hours per week Monday to Friday
Salary £30,000 to £36,000 Per Annum Depending on Experience

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Technician - Cyber Security Administrator to join our IT Team, based in our Central Services in Werrington, Peterborough. You will provide user support and customer service on a variety of computer applications and platforms, troubleshoot problems, advise on the appropriate action and help the teams to develop and improve processes. You will be based primarily at our central services in Peterborough, however travel to other locations in the UK will be necessary as and when required.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Maintain a high degree of customer service, ensuring that all issues are logged, monitored and resolved.
Provide technical support in all areas, responding to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically.
Leading Cyber Security initiatives, assessing existing systems, planning migration strategies, and executing the migration process to cloud based technologies.
Monitoring systems to ensure cybersecurity.
Testing and evaluating security systems and procedures.
Being a point of escalation within the team when dealing with cybersecurity issues.
Planning for disaster recovery and creating contingency plans in the event of a security breach
identify potential weaknesses and implementing appropriate measures.
Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.
Monitor and respond to ‘Phishing’ emails and ‘Pharming’ activity.

About YouWe want you to hit the ground running that’s why we are looking for an IT Technician - Cyber Security Administrator with the following skills:
Ideally with an IT qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ. CompTIA or Microsoft.
Good knowledge of IT systems including Windows desktop operating systems and applications.
Knowledge of networks (LAN & WAN) TCP/IP, telephony, servers, storage, backup systems, cloud services and security.
Broadband and FTTC skills including experience of Ubiquiti networks and site to site VPNs would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Server 2016, Windows 10/11, Office 365, SharePoint Online.
Proficiency in managing security policies and threat protection systems.
Solid understanding of Cyber Security principles and procedures.
Methodical with the ability to organise, plan and prioritise work.
ITIL and Project management skills are an advantage
You will be part of a small team providing support in and, very occasionally, out of hours for business-critical applications; therefore, being reliable is crucial.
Full driving licence and access to own transport as travel to sites across the UK will be required
