Junior Accountant (3 months contract)

Day rate: £130 - £150 per day
Location: City of London

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our client's finance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity that offers the flexibility of a hybrid working model, with 3 days on-site and 2 days working from home.

Our client is a pristigus global hospitality brand and as a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team with day-to-day functions, including accrual, prepayment, journal posting, month-end duties, and reconciliation. While experience with Sage 300 or Sage 200 is preferred, it is essential that you have experience with Sage software. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to grow and gain sector experience. We would require sccessful candidate to be able to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the finance team with daily functions such as accrual and prepayment.
• Responsible for journal posting and month-end duties.
• Perform reconciliation tasks regularly.
• Ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.

Requirements:

• Strong finance experience is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Quick learner who can take initiative when necessary.
• Experience with Sage (Essential) - Sage 300 or Sage 200 is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the team.
• Strong commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
