Junior Accountant, Study Support, £18K - £23K

Your new company
- This client is a well established firm of Chartered Accountants based on the outskirts of Guildford. They boast on-site parking, Study Support, personal development, and a loyal client base.
- You will work as part of the accounts team within the firm providing general practice services to a portfolio of around 120 clients which you will have exposure to.
Your new role
- Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, payments, and other transactions
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory filings
- Assist with the planning and execution of internal and external audits
What you\'ll need to succeed
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field or be working towards one.
- Some relevant work experience or internships in accounting, preferably within accountancy practice, is preferable but not essential.
- You should have excellent numerical and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy.
- You should also be proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
What you\'ll get in return
- £18,000 - £23,000 PA
-Full Study Support (for the first exam attempt) for AAT, ACCA or equivalent. Courses can be home study, distance learning or course based. We also give one day plus the exam day for study leave.
