We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide essential support to our Accounts Supervisor, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Day to Day of the role:
- Perform daily processing of purchase ledger and sales ledger for the client account.
- Handle incoming calls on the Payment line for card payments and bank cheques daily.
- Receipt monies into the client account and chase aged debt to maintain control.
- Keep the client database up to date and accurate, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with Loan renewals on Premium Finance and provide ad-hoc support to the Accounts Supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet financial reporting deadlines and maintain efficient financial operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in financial processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
- A methodical approach to work, ensuring consistency and reliability in financial tasks.
- Good Excel skills and the ability to manage financial data effectively.
- Understanding of key performance indicators such as aged debt control and accurate logging of sales and purchase invoices.

- Level 1: Basic - General understanding of accounting principles and can apply knowledge under supervision.
- Level 2: Intermediate - Strong understanding of accounting principles and can apply knowledge independently.
- Level 3: Advanced - Comprehensive understanding of accounting and its role in the wider business environment, with the ability to assist and supervise less experienced staff.
