Business Development Executive – Agri Sales

Ballymena based + Regular Travel (Company Car included)

£30,000 + Annual Bonus

CPL are delighted to continue our partnership with a well-established and successful manufacturing company in the Ballymena area as the seek to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Junior Business Development Executive to join the Agri Sales team at a pivotal time in the company’s growth plans.

You must have either experience (Not necessarily sales) within the agricultural industry, Including a farming background or an agricultural education.

As a Business Development Executive, you will strive to achieve the company’s vision to be a World Class by maximising sales opportunities to achieve sales and gross profit targets.

The Role;

  • Identify and capitalise on business opportunities to meet company targets by converting them into orders.
  • Collaborate with the Agriculture Sales Manager and Head of Sales to formulate regionalised sales strategies.
  • Handle incoming customer inquiries and convert them into orders.
  • Provide weekly reports on sales activities, including visit reports.
  • Perform relevant administrative tasks, including order processing.
  • Attend exhibitions/trade shows and arrange and participate in customer meetings/site visits, including farms and merchants, as well as other company events as needed. This role requires extensive travel within the UK and Ireland, approximately twice per month.

The Person;

  • Driven individual with a strong interest in the agricultural industry.
  • You must have either experience (Not necessarily sales) within the agricultural industry, Including a farming background or an agricultural education.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Previous experience within sales and customer service environment.
  • Strong ability to deal professionally with customers/clients.
  • Good time management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a busy team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will also need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced and busy office environment, whilst having the ability to work independently as well as part of our team.
