Junior Hr Advisor

Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large higher education provider who has sites across the East Riding and NE Lincolnshire as a HR Advisor. This is a newly created position to be based out of either their Scarborough or Bridlington campus. It will initially be on a 12-month FTC but may become permanent.
Please note - this role is based from Bridlington or Scarborough but will entail regular travel to the Beverley and Hull sites as well as 1 day a week, which MUST be worked at the Grimsby office (mileage can be claimed).
Your new role
Reporting in to the Director of Employee Relations and working closely with the HR Business Partner, you will give advice and guidance to line managers and employees about employee relations, wellbeing, policies and procedures.
You will have a sound knowledge of HR best practice and employment law and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant to make their first step up into a HR Advisor role, and you will be fully supported and trained to make this transition.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant to move into a HR Advisor role.
You will have worked in a fast-paced HR environment and have excellent communication skills.
CIPD Level 3 or equivalent would be beneficial.
Previous experience of working within and education setting would be beneficial but is not essential.
What you'll get in return
12 month FTC with potential to become permanent
37 hour a week contract (08.30-17.00 Mon-Thurs, 08.00-16.30 Fri)
Salary of £24,790 increasing to £26,790 in March 2024

4% pension employer contributions
Mileage claim of 45p per mile
