In 2001, the house joined the Kering Group and, since December 2023, is under the creative direction of Seán McGirr. How will you contribute?
Product Planning:
- Assist in the development and execution of seasonal merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.
- Collaborate with the Collection Merchandising and Regional Retail - Merchandising teams to ensure the product assortment aligns with brand vision and market trends.
- Monitor product performance and analyse sales data to identify opportunities and risks.
- Support in the creation of strategic buy plans, ensuring balanced and comprehensive assortments.
Inventory Management:
- Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage stock levels, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of merchandise to stores, aligned to strategic launch plans.
- Monitor inventory across various channels, identifying slow-moving items and proposing solutions to optimise stock turnover.
Market analysis & reporting:
- Prepare detailed sales reports and performance analyses for internal review, providing actionable insights to inform future buying and merchandising decisions.
- Conduct regular market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams to help ensure a cohesive go to market strategy, with Comms and VM aligned to product delivery timing.
- Assist in the planning and execution of seasonal product launches and special events.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of product details, pricing, and launch plans.
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Retail Merchandising, including scheduling meetings and coordinating communication between departments.
Required Skills:
- You will be able to demonstrate the desired Alexander McQueen behaviours.
- Previous experience in Retail Merchandising/Buying, preferably within the luxury fashion sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effec- tively within a team and across departments.
- A strong curiosity for the luxury market and consumer behaviour within the fashion industry
