SALARY - £30,000-£40,000, dependent on experience
My client is a leading building services contractor. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in South West London on a permanent basis.
The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Background in Mechanical Engineering (Degree qualified etc.)
- Project Management skills/ experience
- An educational or hands-on background in Engineering
- Technical Mechanical Engineering knowledge
- Be able to read engineering drawings / understand manufacturing processes
- Strong client-facing experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Be flexible to travel as required
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
- Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
- Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
- Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
- Working with design, purchasing and production departments
- Presenting project plans and reports to management
- Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
- Maintaining technical documentation as required
- Mentoring junior members of the team
- Occasional travel as required
