Key Account Manager
I am seeking a Key Account Manager to join a growing sales team, focusing on the East Kent area. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a passion for sales and customer relationship management. The successful candidate will work in partnership with our customers to build strategic plans and achieve company goals.
Day-to-day of the Key Account Manager:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in person, via telephone calls and emails.
- Respond promptly to incoming email and phone enquiries.
- Act as the main contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
- Gather market and customer information to create new business opportunities and arrange meetings with potential customers.
- Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale.
- Create detailed proposal documents as part of a formal bidding process.
- Advise on forthcoming product developments and special promotions.
- Negotiate terms of agreements and close sales.
- Make accurate cost calculations and provide customers with quotations.
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Key Account Manager:
- Proven B2B sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a high degree of self-motivation and ambition.
- Positive, confident, and determined approach with resilience to cope with rejection.
- Competitive spirit and capability to flourish in a competitive environment.
- Good level of numeracy and a full, clean driving licence.
- Proven organisational skills, including planning and problem-solving.
- Excellent customer service skills and meeting customer expectations.
- Conscientious, proactive, and positive approach to duties.
- Flexible working attitude and good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.
