Kitchen Assistant -Required at Ruby Lodge in Sowerby, Thirsk, Part of the Country Court Family
Hours: 40 hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times to be confirmed )
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant for our care home 'Ruby Lodge', where you will be helping our chefs prepare food for our residents. We are now looking for you to join us Late August, just before we open our doors to our 1st residents in September 2024.
Ruby Lodge Care Home located in Sowerby, Thirsk will accommodate up to 69 residents and will promote a lifestyle for residents that offers a luxurious environment with exceptional personalised care. ABOUT THE KITCHEN ASSISTANT ROLE
Within the Kitchen Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:
Help our chefs prepare & deliver stunning food for our residents.
Make sure that the food is correctly labelled & meets the specific dietary requirements for our Residents.
Wastage from the preparation is kept to a minimum.
Follow COSHH & Health & Safety Standards

Experience as a Kitchen Assistant or a similar role
Good knowledge & experience with food safety
Friendly & approachable and work well in a team
Knowledge of COSHH & Health & Safety standards
An understanding of the care sector would be advantageous
