Job description

Lab Technician - Warrington WA1 4SR

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Responsibilities:

  • Formulation of products, which may involve clean-room environments with appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Conducting quality control testing of intermediates and finished goods. Recording test results and either self-approving and releasing materials or recommending release status to the manager.
  • Cleaning and sanitising laboratory equipment, along with calibrating basic laboratory instruments and ensuring timely calibration updates.
  • Leading process development improvement projects and contributing to the resolution of quality issues.
  • Maintaining laboratory housekeeping standards and managing consumable supplies.
  • Training others, once trained, to the appropriate level in a particular operation.
  • Supporting and complying with the Company's safety and hazardous waste management program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in a production environment. Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft software applications. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, meet targets, and complete necessary paperwork. Good manual dexterity. Ability to work well in teams.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing in a clean room production environment. Flexible approach to work with a possible change of duties at short notice. Requires the use of office equipment, including operating a computer terminal throughout the day and involvement in continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages at an intermediate level.
