LADO - Children's Services

Our Client, a North West Local Authority, is looking for an experienced LADO to join its Children’s Services.Fantastic payrate of £45-£47 per hour.Mixture of home and office working, with high likelihood of contract extension!Responsibilities of this role:Act as the lead for all allegations against professionals who work with children, to chair meetings as required and provide management and scrutiny of all cases to closure.Ensure all organisations understand and discharge their statutory responsibilities regarding the reporting and managing of allegations, including understanding the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer for Allegations (LADO) and provide critical
review, evaluation and approval to safeguarding investigations on behalf of Children’s Services.Advise the Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (SCP) members, Local Authority Strategic Managers and Senior Managers within the wider children’s workforce on policy issues and make recommendations for decision making relating to statutory duties regarding
the oversight and management of allegations.Establish positive relationships with key partners and provide expert consultations including strategic and operational advice regarding the implementation of local and national policies.
