The Learning & Development team are looking to recruit an enthusiastic coordinator to join our busy department. The L&D coordinator is a key member of the team, working closely with operations to plan, coordinate and manage our comprehensive training plan across a large workforce and area.
The role of the L&D Coordinator will be a key contact for all stakeholders, working alongside the L&D Manager, the L&D administrator, and the training team to plan training, manage course bookings and generate course compliance data in line with business requirements and service need.
This is a full- time permanent position with flexible working both in the L&D centre and from home with occasional visits to our sites across the UK. Successful candidates will be required to have a Standard DBS check prior to commencing employment.
Main Responsibilities- Working alongside L&D Manager to design, plan and coordinate the business training schedule to ensure our training offer is equitable and in line with the commercial and operational requirements.
- Supervise the L&D administrator to ensure all day-to-day activities are fulfilled, monitoring course bookings and attendance and promoting training schedule to maximise uptake.
- Key role to manage, input and update all training on our internal Learner Management System (LMS), tracking course schedules, bookings and address any issues.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure training plan is delivered in line with service specific training needs analysis (TNA’s).
- Oversee the coordination of all learning and development activities including workshops, distribution of materials and schedules, accessing and booking internal and external venues, facilities, and equipment.
- Work closely with the Lead trainer to maximise training hours and coverage across the business.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly stats as required.
- Review and adjust the training plan as required.
- Deliver KPI’s in accordance with the agreed deliverables set by the L&D Manager
- Attend regular meetings with key stakeholders, internal and external and the L&D team.
- Promote and support the involvement of people we support in the delivery of training.
- Proven experience of using IT systems
- Be organised.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and with external agencies.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and manage own workload.
- Can demonstrate a professional attitude and positive outlook.
- Be responsive and flexible to immediate, short term and long -term training demands.
- Ideally has a background of coordinating internal and external training, however similar experience would be considered.
- Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs in advance.
- Qualification in admin or learning and development desirable but not essential
- Previous experience of auditing, data analysis and providing feedback on results
- Ability to demonstrate and meet Key Performance Indicators to ensure business delivers quality compliance results.
