We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Credit Risk Analyst to join a market leading team to work across the largest mortgage portfolio in HSBC. This is on a 12 Month Fixed Term contract. 

In your role you will be responsible for supporting leading a team of junior analysts  whilst managinge your own key projects. You will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving credit risk/collections strategies which will allow the Bank to make high quality decisions for our customers driven by data.

In this role, you will:

•    Develop and improve credit risk/collections strategies to allow the business to make high quality decisions for our customers driven by data ;
•    Develop and improve credit risk strategies to manage decisions throughout the credit lifecycle
•    Supporting growth in the business through the delivery of key initiatives and deliver analytics to enable the design and roll-out of new lending products
•    Lead complex analytical projects to completion with minimal guidance;
•    Formulate and clearly communicate conclusions and proposals giving consideration to the risk, reward and customer impact
•    Build relationships and shape the development of junior team members including offshore analysts to improve their knowledge, understanding and experience;.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Previous experience in Credit Risk Analytics, Collections Analytics with experience of secured or unsecured products; 
•    Excellent attention to detail and a track record of analytical capabilities using relevant software packages such as (SAS/SQLis  are essential as a baseline, VBA/Python will be considered in addition);
•    An understanding of consumer lending products, profitability and credit risk;
•    Experience of successful project management, working across a range of teams to deliver;
•    Strong stakeholder Engagement

The base location for this role is Birmingham or Sheffield and is Hybrid working.
