As a Charging System Design Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our Electric Power Control Chapter, working within the dynamic Vehicle Charging System Design Product Group. Your role will be pivotal as the single point of contact for Charging Features and Core Charging System Design Functions, collaborating with various teams including Charging Product squads, Propulsion Product Groups, and the Central System Integration team.
In this role, you'll design and deliver cutting-edge charging features and system functionalities for our future JLR BEV/PHEV products. You'll collaborate closely with validation and verification engineers to develop tailored solutions for specific vehicle architectures. Additionally, you'll work alongside charging features/charging attributes, electrification services, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and a premium user experience.
Your responsibilities will also include defining and implementing feature and system enhancements to elevate the JLR driving experience. You'll understand stakeholder needs and translate them into comprehensive system designs, from concept to validation. Taking ownership of system design tasks, including system architecture, behaviour models, and requirements, you'll ensure approval for new feature content. Demonstrating autonomy, proactivity, and accountability in your work, you'll thrive in a self-directed environment.

• The role supports C Grade System Design engineers with technical / design reviews
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
• Woking & delivery experience on Charging and / or HV System design.
• Experience in electrified powertrains or distributed control systems
• Knowledge and working experience with System Engineering principles.
• Experience in creating system and logical architecture diagrams (SAD& LAD)
• Experience in writing Charging / HV Systems requirements
• Experience using System modelling and requirement management tools
• User experience on Catia Magic (MSOSA), TRM, JIRA Tools
