Person Specification:
Essential:
1) General knowledge of horticulture.
2) Preparing No dig growing areas & understanding No dig practices.
3) Propagation, taking cuttings, sowing seeds.
4) Pruning fruit trees and shrubs.
5) Planning crops for production & understanding harvesting techniques.
6) Creating compost from farm and garden waste.
7) Good communication and people skills.
8) The ability to work outside in all weather.
9) Good level of physical fitness and health.
10) Driving license.
Desirable:
1) Using horticultural machinery.
2) Propagation, grafting of fruit trees.
3) Some livestock/farm experience.
4) Practical skills, building raised beds, constructing polytunnels, installation of watering systems.
