SalaryEmpowering Learning are looking for SEND Lead Teacher to work in an excellent and Impressive SEND provision situated in Long Eaton . Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is essential. Teaching ability across the age ranges is favourable. This role comes with a TLR and SEN point.
Desired Experience :
- QTS or equivalent
- Ability to engage disaffected pupils in education
- Have experience working with young people
- Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
- Have an interest in teaching young people with a variety of SEND
- Have experience teaching children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
- Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environment
- Have an understanding of behavioural management
- Ability to lead and manage other staff
- Design and tailor curriculums for individual young people
Additional Responsibilities.
- Supporting children during lessons/school activities
- Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
- Managing pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
- Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
- Providing physical management and care of pupils
