Kind Support is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Theatre Practitioner to join the Endoscopy Scrub team at a luxury private hospital in London.
As the Lead Theatre Practitioner in Endoscopy, you will be a vital part of our team, overseeing the endoscopy theatre operations to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of procedures. You’ll provide leadership, support, and guidance to our team of skilled professionals, cultivating a positive work environment and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
The hospital is a 56-bedded acute hospital specialising in Colorectal, Urology, Orthopaedics, Men’s Health and Women’s Health which is provided by a friendly, professional and supportive team who are focused on being a centre of excellence for a wide variety of surgical procedures and treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the endoscopy theatre team
- Plan and coordinate daily schedules and resources
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of endoscopy equipment and supplies
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards
- Provide direct patient care during procedures
- Uphold quality assurance and control processes
- Oversee staff training and development
- Manage equipment and inventory
Requirements:
- Participate as a scrub team member for other surgical cases on days when the endoscopy list is not scheduled.
- Minimum of 5 years of endoscopy experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in the UK
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of endoscopy equipment, techniques, and infection control
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
